Frequently asked questions

Why is powder coating sandwich panels a specialism?

Sandwich panels have a temperature-sensitive insulation core and very strict coating thickness requirements. In addition, they are conveyed horizontally. This calls for a precisely controlled oven and a constant coating thickness over long surfaces, even with horizontal conveying. ESTEE has developed its own processes for this and has already built three lines for this application.

How do you protect the insulation core during curing?

With temperature-controlled curing that doses the heat precisely. We are happy to explain our in-house recipes in a personal meeting.

Can a sandwich panel line run fully automatically?

Yes. Our latest line in Central Germany, started up in 2026, is fully automatic. The powder booth was custom-built around the customer's panel dimensions, throughput and way of working.

Which panel dimensions and throughput are possible?

Typical dimensions are lengths from 2,000 to 8,000 mm, widths from 400 to 850 mm and thicknesses from 40 to 80 mm. A typical line speed is 3 m/min. Every line is built to the customer's requirements.
