NEW PRETREATMENT TUNNEL FOR RENSON
When a 3D-drawing comes to life…
This enormous pre-treatment tunnel has recently been installed in the new production hall of Renson. Always nice to see our 3D models come to life!
Some facts about this 170m-long tunnel:
- The tunnel consists of 8 phases and can pre-treat both steel and aluminium.
- The entire tunnel and drip pan contain approximately 3000m² of polyprop, which is just over half a football field.
- All baths together contain about 90m³ of liquid, about the same amount of water a family of 3 uses in a year.
- There are 900 nozzles in the tunnel, so we can spray 420m³ of liquid per hour at full power. This means that we can fill an Olympic-size swimming pool every 6 hours.
We will soon start the next phase: the installation of the drying and muffle ovens (with energy recovery).
